OUR STORY

From as early as the Thirteenth Century B.C.E., the symbol of a serpent devouring its own tail has served as an emblem of wholeness, rebirth, and infinity. Known as “Ouroboros”, it guides the way that we craft our work, with proceeds donated to protect the very planet from which our products were born. Ultimately, we aim to make preservation second nature by integrating social awareness into every product that we sell — inspiring donations from sources that are otherwise untapped.

Each of our bracelets is meticulously threaded, tied, and then glued to ensure a quality fit and reliable hold. Once finished, the bracelet is placed into an iconic Ouroboros burlap pouch, with a card about us, a card telling you more about your bracelet, and finally a sticker, to deck out anything you desire. All told, here at Ouroboros Apparel Co., we are committed to crafting the best products and experiences for every single client.

To maximize our impact, we have chosen to donate proceeds to the Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN), an organization with perfect scores on financials, accountability, and transparency, as reported by Charity Navigator. Funneling appropriate funds to independent wildlife conservationists, the Wildlife Conservation Network protects species and their habitats, and gives other organizations the resources they need to be successful. Proceeds from Ouroboros, specifically, will go to programs that need it the most, like the Painted Dog Conservation, the Andean Cat Alliance, the Elephant Crisis Fund, the Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Program, the Global Penguin Society, MarAlliance, and the Snow Leopard Conservancy.

Though a small team, everyone at Ouroboros Apparel Co. is passionate about our mission and ensuring that every client gets exactly what they want. Don't like any of the designs on our Shop page, or looking to get a sold-out design? No worries, shoot us a message and we'll get you exactly what you want.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our roots and our mission — we hope you can support us in our goal, or contribute directly to preserve our planet.

BEHIND THE SCENES

A look into our ideation and current production process.

  +      Ideation
We initially started this project in a completely different direction-- with a hologram phone dock.

We wanted to create a phone dock integrated with a visual virtual assistant to minimize distractions, while keeping the user connected to their colleagues or classmates. While it was an exciting concept, we quickly realized that it wasn't solving a big enough problem, and we knew that we wanted our product to make a real difference.

We knew that most people shared our passion for seeking change, so we decided to explore this opportunity. Ouroboros was created to offer people interested in wildlife conservation the opportunity to both support endangered species while simultaneously encouraging conversation about the cause.
